Biography

Sudip Regmi is a Senior Crop Development Officer at the Agriculture Development Resource Center (ADRC), Syangja, Nepal. He has extensive professional experience in crop development, seed production, agricultural demonstrations, farmer training, crop protection and agricultural value-chain development. He has worked in various agricultural organizations in Nepal, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperative and District Agriculture Development Offices. He holds a Master of Science in Agriculture from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University, with an academic score of 88.11%, and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the same institution with 77.03%. His professional work includes on-farm demonstrations, varietal trials, source seed production, farmer and technician training, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), crop production and protection, and agricultural value-chain development. He has also contributed to climate-change resilience trials and programs related to agricultural production, processing and marketing. Sudip has participated in several international training programs, including training in hybrid rice technology in China, integrated seed sector development in the Netherlands, seed production and quality assurance training in India, seed-sector development training in Vietnam, and climate-resilient agriculture training through ITEC India. He has four international publications covering topics including oyster mushroom production, mulberry cutting, seed marketing channels and government support, and government policy for cereal crop seed marketing.
