Biography

Nagumba Margaret Jane is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jajaz in Christ Community Development Group, a community-based organization in Uganda focused on empowering women and youth and addressing challenges related to poverty, food insecurity, and HIV/AIDS.

With a background in community development and research, Margaret Jane is actively involved in initiatives that support vulnerable rural communities through sustainable agriculture, livelihood development, and capacity building. Her work promotes climate-smart agricultural practices, high-value horticulture, and practical training to help smallholder farmers build resilient livelihoods and improve household food security.

Through her grassroots work, she aims to create opportunities for women and young people while strengthening community-based approaches to sustainable development. She is particularly interested in learning from global innovations in agriculture and horticulture and applying relevant knowledge within local communities in Uganda.

Margaret Jane holds a university education and is committed to sharing knowledge gained through international platforms with communities in her home country. She looks forward to participating in the conference, developing meaningful partnerships, and using the knowledge and experience gained to train and empower others in Uganda.
