Biography

Dr. Masuda Akter is a Senior Scientific Officer in the Soil Science Division of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). She joined BRRI as a Scientific Officer in 2007 and was promoted to Senior Scientific Officer in 2012. She received her MSc from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2013, and completed her PhD in 2018 with the Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management research group in the Department of Soil Management at Ghent University. Her research covers paddy soil organic matter decomposition, nitrogen mineralization, greenhouse gas emissions, pore water chemistry and soil microbial activity. She has authored numerous articles in national and international journals.
