Dr. Fauziah Abu Bakar is a biotechnologist and academician at the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak. Her research focuses on ethnobotany, medicinal plants, indigenous knowledge, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based solutions for climate resilience. Working closely with ethnic minority communities in Sarawak, her work integrates scientific research with traditional ecological knowledge to promote sustainable environmental practices and biodiversity preservation. She is also actively involved in science communication and sustainability advocacy through research collaborations, public engagement, and international speaking platforms related to biodiversity and climate adaptation.
