Biography

Erika Patricia Leyva Gómez is an Environmental Engineer and a Master’s student in Applied Biology at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, Colombia. She has research experience in biological control, the management and study of mites and other agriculturally important arthropods, as well as biotechnologyrelated processes and tools. She is currently conducting research on plant–insect interactions, focusing on the influence of non-volatile compounds of Chrysanthemum morifolium on Frankliniella occidentalis across different phenological stages of the plant. Her research interests include biological control, plant–arthropod interactions, plant secondary metabolism, chemical ecology, and the development of sustainable strategies for agricultural pest management.
